Current monetization status
- Selected partner lookup widgets are enabled on allowed lookup guide pages.
- Affiliate or referral tracking may apply to partner widgets, partner links, search submissions, leads, signups, or purchases.
- Direct sponsored offer blocks are not currently enabled.
- Paid listings, paid rankings, sponsored articles, and third-party display ads are not currently enabled.
What partner links and search widgets mean
A partner link or lookup widget may send referral information, click data, search inputs, lead data, or attribution fields to a third-party partner. The partner may use that information under its own terms and privacy policy.
A partner relationship does not mean Lookup Plainly verifies the partner's results, guarantees current or complete data, endorses regulated-use suitability, or confirms any person's identity.
Disclosure placement
When a page includes a partner link, search widget, sponsored option, paid listing, or offer, disclosure should appear near the relevant item. A footer link and this disclosure page are not enough for in-context partner tools.
- Use clear labels such as Advertising disclosure, Partner link, May earn compensation, Sponsored option, or similar plain-language wording.
- Keep disclosures readable on mobile and close enough to the relevant action that users can see them before clicking or submitting.
- Do not hide material relationships in vague language, tooltips only, or distant legal pages.
Editorial independence
Compensation does not determine whether Lookup Plainly may make unsafe claims. We do not accept payment to claim identity confirmation, consumer-report status, regulated-use suitability, live/current/complete data, or guaranteed accuracy.
Commercial relationships should not cause us to omit material limitations, hide FCRA boundaries, minimize privacy risks, or present a third-party provider more favorably than the evidence supports.
Partner limitations
Third-party lookup tools, data providers, and people-search services may rely on public records, brokered data, user reports, commercial files, modeled inferences, and other sources that can be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or misattributed.
